About the race
The Stinger 5K is a family-friendly run and walk held on the grounds of the 180th Fighter Wing at Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport. The course starts and finishes at the 9/11 Memorial and runs past the fighter wing parking pads onto the Stinger tarmac, providing access to parts of the base not usually open to the public. There is a strict 60 minute course limit for the 5K. A course sweep bus will accompany the race to assist anyone who falls behind pace. Participants who cannot complete the course within the time limit may choose a shorter distance walk.
Packet pickup is scheduled on the Friday before the race at Dave's Running Perrysburg from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Race day packet pickup is restricted to 180th members at the 180th Pavilion from 06:30 to 07:30. All civilian participants must pick up packets on the Friday pickup day.
