Event Overview
The Stinger 5K takes place on the grounds of the 180th Fighter Wing at the Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport in Swanton, Ohio, near Toledo. The course starts and finishes at the on-base 9/11 Memorial and runs past fighter jet parking pads and along the "Stinger" tarmac.

Participation Details
A background check is required for all participants and attendees who are not active military members, employees, or their dependents. The event includes F-16 flight demonstrations after the race concludes. Access to the base and memorial is for security-cleared registrants and volunteers only.
