The Stinger 5K

The Stinger 5K is a family-friendly run and walk held at the 180th Fighter Wing, Ohio National Guard Base at Eugene F. Kranz Toledo Express Airport on September 13, 2026. The course starts and finishes at the 9/11 Memorial, passes the fighter wing parking pads, and continues onto the Stinger tarmac.

Organizers enforce a strict 60 minute course limit for the 5K. A course sweep bus will accompany the event to assist participants who fall behind the required pace. Participants may choose a shorter distance walk to complete their activity within the time allowed.

Packet pickup is available early at Dave's Running Perrysburg on Friday, September 11, from 12:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Civilian participants must pick up packets on that Friday. Race day packet pickup at the 180th Pavilion is reserved for 180th members only and is scheduled the morning of the event. Individual QR codes will be scanned to retrieve registration information; participants may print their QR code or show it on a phone. Packets may be picked up for friends or family.
