The Sticks n' Stones Trail Race takes place at the Christie Lake Conservation Area in Hamilton, Ontario. Sanctioned by Athletics Ontario, the event features a series of trail races held on a 5.3 km looped course around the lake. The terrain is primarily dirt-surfaced, non-technical, and described as rolling and fast.

Logistics and Course Support
Each loop contains two aid stations: one at the start/finish area and another at the 2.5 km mark. These stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, fruit, and various snacks. The race operates as a cup-less event, meaning participants must provide their own collapsible cups or bottles for hydration. A cutoff time of 8 hours is in place for the 53 km distance, with an optional early start available for those requiring more time.
Professional timing is provided for all participants, and finishers receive a race medal. Race kit pick-up is held on the morning of the event at the Beach Pavilion.
