Sticks n' Stones Trail Race 2026
The event takes place on October 10, 2026 at Christie Lake Conservation Area in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. All distances use a single 5.3 km loop around the lake. The route is rolling and runnable on primarily dirt trails and is non technical.
Offered distances:
- 5 km, one loop (5.3 km)
- 10 km, two loops (10.6 km)
- 26.5 km, five loops (26.5 km)
- 53 km solo, ten loops (53 km)

There are two aid stations per loop, located at the start/finish and roughly halfway. Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drinks, soda, fruit, PB & J and sweet and salty snacks. Events are cupless so participants must bring a collapsible cup or bottle.
Race kit pick up occurs on race day at the Beach Pavilion on site. Participants in the 5k, 10k, 26.5k and 53k relay receive a toque. Solo 53k finishers receive a hoodie; hoodies are available for purchase for other categories for 35 CAD and sizes must be indicated.
Registration includes parking; spectators pay park entry. Finishers receive a medal; top three solo finishers and top relay teams by category receive awards. Professional timing is provided and results are posted after the race. The event supports Oceana Canada and is organized in memory of a relative of the race director. La Sportiva will attend with demo shoes and will give away two pairs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
