Event Overview
The Stevenage Half Marathon began in 1984. It is an annual event, with a full marathon held every ten years.
Course Details
The race headquarters is at Hampson Park Community Centre. The 21.1 km half marathon route consists of two loops, taking in Fairlands Valley Park and some of the town centre before returning to the start-finish area for the second lap. The route is completely road or cycle path based, is fully signposted, and is marshalled.
Event Features
The course is officially measured and hosts the Hertfordshire Road Running Half Marathon veteran championships. The event is licensed by England Athletics, and results appear on Power of 10.
Charity
The event is a charity fundraiser, organized by volunteers from Fairlands Valley Spartans Running Club and Stevenage Scouts. All proceeds go to local charities. The nominated charity for 2026 is Ehlers Danlos UK. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
