The Stevenage Half Marathon began in 1984. It is an annual event, with a full marathon held every ten years.

Course Details

The race headquarters is at Hampson Park Community Centre. The 21.1 km half marathon route consists of two loops, taking in Fairlands Valley Park and some of the town centre before returning to the start-finish area for the second lap. The route is completely road or cycle path based, is fully signposted, and is marshalled.

Event Features

The course is officially measured and hosts the Hertfordshire Road Running Half Marathon veteran championships. The event is licensed by England Athletics, and results appear on Power of 10.

Charity
