Run for the Pickles
The Sterbenz Run for the Pickles is a community sports event held at Warren County Community College in Washington, New Jersey. The event features a variety of distances designed for participants of all abilities, including runners and walkers. The courses utilize scenic campus trails and extend through portions of the Warren County Technical School property.
Participants can choose from the following events:
- 5k Run
- 2k Pup Strut
- 2k Walk/Stroll
The 5k course is USATF-certified (NJ23046JLW) and World Athletics certified (USA-2023-209). It consists of two loops of a 2.5 km circuit, followed by an alternative finish path. The 2k Pup Strut is a pet-friendly option where participants are welcome to bring along their dogs.
All registered participants receive a custom race shirt and a finisher medal. Custom race shirts and medals are guaranteed specifically for the first 250 individuals who register. The event includes a pickle-themed treat for all finishers, light refreshments, and an awards presentation to recognize participants and teams. Costumes are encouraged for this event.
