Steps for Safety 5K & Kid Fun Run
The inaugural Steps for Safety 5K and Kids Fun Run is scheduled for October 10, 2026, at 9222 Nashville Road in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The event is held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month and will raise funds for Barren River Area Safe Space Inc.
The event program includes a main 5K and a separate kids fun run, plus family-friendly activities, community vendors, music and entertainment, race swag, and finisher recognition. The atmosphere is intended to combine physical activity with community support and awareness.

Registration for both events opens June 1, 2026. The 5K registration closes July 4, 2026. Kids Fun Run registration closes on the event date.
