Step Up to 5k

Step Up to 5k is the fourth annual 5K event held on August 1, 2026, at Heritage Park, 601 Weiss St., Frankenmuth, MI 48734, US. The event is hosted by Bremer Prosthetics and is described as an inclusive run, walk, and roll for participants with a range of abilities, including people with prosthetics, amputees, families, and first-time participants. The course distance is 3.1 Miles.

The event states a mission to inspire confidence, celebrate movement, and promote access to mobility. Proceeds support So Every Body Can Move, a national initiative advocating for state-by-state legislative change for fair insurance coverage of prosthetic and orthotic care.

Entry categories and listed fees include an adult Two Anatomical Legs entry at $30, Unilateral Amputee entry at $15, Bilateral Amputee entry at no cost, and a Youth entry at $15. Fundraising is an option; participants who raise $250 may receive their registration and a companion registration without a fee.

Participants receive a finisher medal and a race t shirt with registration. Timing is by chip and results will report accurate chip time plus overall and age group placings, with timing provided by Michigan Running Foundation. Refreshments will be available. Age groups are listed from Under 14 through 80 plus. The event notes that no-shows will forfeit their shirt and finisher medal. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
