Step Up to 5K - Frankenmuth, MI
Step Up to 5K is the fourth annual community 5K event held at Heritage Park in Frankenmuth, Michigan, along the Cass River trails. The event is organized by Bremer Prosthetics and is presented as an inclusive run, walk, or roll for participants with varied mobility needs.
Proceeds support So Every Body Can Move, a national initiative that advocates for state-by-state legislative change to improve insurance coverage for prosthetic and orthotic care. Bremer Prosthetics provides sponsorship support and reduced registration fees for participants with limb differences.
Entry fee structure includes an early bird rate of $30 through June 1, 2026, a regular rate of $35 from June 2 through July 2, 2026, and an increased rate of $40 beginning July 3, 2026. Bilateral amputees are listed as free, and unilateral amputees receive a $15 discount. Participants who raise $250 can earn free registration for themselves and a companion via the event fundraising option.
All finishers receive a finisher medal and registered participants receive a 5K race t-shirt. Event timing is chip based with overall and age-group places published live by Michigan Running Foundation. Additional event features noted by the organizer include on-site refreshments, a raffle with items such as a running blade from Ossur and running shoes from Complete Runner, and specified age groups for results reporting.
