Step Up for Mental Health: A Walk To Remember
The event is a 5K run and walk held at Bruemmer Park in Kewaunee, Wisconsin on September 19, 2026. The activity is organized to raise awareness for mental health, honor people lost to mental health challenges, and raise funds for a local mental health charity.
Along the trail, yard signs decorated with photos, messages of hope, and personal stories will mark the route as visible remembrances. After registering, participants receive an email with instructions on how to personalize a sign in advance. Submitted photos will also be displayed on a large board at the event.
Mental health resources will be available on site to provide information and support to attendees. Food will be available for purchase at the pavilion after the run, including hot dogs and hamburgers.
Registration information includes an entry fee of $20 and registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes August 16, 2026. Participants who register after August 15 will not receive a T-shirt.
All proceeds from the event will benefit a local mental health charity. The description focuses on the event format, memorial elements, on-site resources, and the fundraising purpose. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
