Algoma Shanty Days 5K Run/Walk
The Algoma Shanty Days 5K Walk/Run starts and finishes at the Robert Ray Gallery, 520 Parkway St, Algoma, WI. The 5K course passes the river, moves through town and finishes downhill along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
The 5K is a chip-timed event with same-day results. Each registered participant receives a t-shirt. Medals are awarded to the top three in each age group and to the overall male and female finishers of the 5K.
A Kids Superhero Fun Run follows the 5K. The kids run is for children ages 9 and under and is a non-chip-timed event. The route circles the Algoma Shanty Days grounds with the start and finish at the Robert Ray Gallery. Each registered child receives a t-shirt and a medal.

Packet pick-up is scheduled Friday, August 14, 2026, 3:00–6:00pm at the Algoma Youth Club, and Saturday, August 15, 2026, 6:30–7:30am at the start/finish on Lake Street behind the Robert Ray Gallery. Registration fees listed are $25.00 for the 5K and $20.00 for the Kids Superhero Fun Run.
