Steep Ultra, Corner Brook NL
Steep Ultra takes place on September 5, 2026 in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador. The event offers three trail formats: Steep 100k, Steep 50k, and Steep 50k Relay. Courses run in the Long Range Mountains and include sections with ocean views and remote terrain, with parts following the Humber River.
Key course details list over 13,000 feet of elevation gain on the 100 km course, which is an out-and-back that traverses four peaks twice, and about 6,700 feet of elevation gain on the 50 km course. Relay teams can include up to four runners. Relay invitees generally need an account on the registration platform to accept invitations.
Finishers receive a finisher gift. Organizers state goals of community orientation and sustainability and aim to showcase western Newfoundland through ultrarunning.
Registration opens November 15 and closes August 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM NT. Listed entry fees are 120 CAD for the 100 km and 85 CAD for the 50 km. Full refunds minus processing fees are offered until March 30, 2026; after that date no refunds, transfers, or rollovers will be issued.
