Steep Ultra - September 5, 2026
Steep Ultra is a trail running event in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, held on September 5, 2026. The event features multiple race formats and emphasizes sharing western Newfoundland and fostering a local community through ultrarunning.
Race formats:
- 100 km: over 13,000 ft elevation gain, out and back course crossing four peaks twice.
- 50 km: 6,700 ft elevation gain, roughly 50 km of high mountain trail in the Long Range Mountains.
- 50 km relay: teams of up to four runners, teams organize their own relay rosters.
The course descriptions note ocean views, rolling mountains, and remote landscape. Finishers receive a finishers gift. Event values include community orientation, sustainability, and inclusion.
Registration and policies: Registration opens November 15 and closes August 15 at 11:59 PM NT. Listed entry fees are 120 CAD for the 100 km and 85 CAD for the 50 km.
