Steep Ultra
Steep Ultra takes place near Corner Brook, Newfoundland, in the Long Range Mountains and along the Humber River. The event features trail races held across coastal and mountainous terrain.
Racing formats include:
- 100 km: over 13,000 ft elevation, out and back crossing four peaks twice
- 50 km: 6,700 ft elevation, trails in the Long Range Mountains and along the Humber River
- 50 km relay: teams of up to four runners
Organizers state goals of sharing western Newfoundland and using ultrarunning to bring the local community together. Finishers receive a finishers gift.
Practical details provided by the organizer include entry fees of 120 CAD for the 100 km and 85 CAD for the 50 km. Registration opens November 15 and closes August 15, 2026. Full refunds minus the processing fee are offered until March 30, 2026; after that no refunds, no rollovers and no transfers will be issued.
