Joy Run 25
Joy Run 25 is a 25 kilometre trail race organized in Pasadena, Newfoundland and Labrador. The 2027 edition is described as the seventh annual event and returns to the event's origins in 2021.
The course follows the same route as previous years. It starts on North Harbour Road in Pasadena, moves through backcountry terrain with sustained mountain climbs and sweeping valleys, and finishes in Steady Brook with a descent that offers views of the Humber Valley.
The race is held in loving memory of the organizer's brother, who died by suicide in 2019. The event promotes mental health, raises awareness about suicide prevention, and seeks to build connection through trail running. The presentation frames the event as a way to remember loved ones and to support community efforts around mental health.
