Course, prizes and logistics

The route is described as gently undulating, taking place on quiet country lanes around the village with some farm track sections, making it a multi-terrain road race. Detailed route maps and GPX files are available from the organisers. The event received the Howard Williams Trophy for best road race in the Essex AA area in 2016 and 2017.

Race headquarters is at Stebbing Primary School, Stebbing, Dunmow, Essex, CM6 3SH. Ample parking is provided but is located about a 10-minute walk from the school; participants are asked not to park on the main road. There are no on-the-day entries, and the event does not allow refunds or deferrals. The organisers make a donation from the race to the Poppy Appeal. A £100 cash prize is listed for breaking the course record (male 51:52, female 58:01), and trophies and prizes are awarded to leading finishers. Event information is sent to registered entrants prior to race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
