Stebbing 10
The Stebbing 10 is a 10 miles multi terrain race around the village of Stebbing, held on Remembrance Sunday and organised by Grange Farm & Dunmow Runners. The route runs on quiet country lanes with a short section of farm track. The course is described as gently undulating and scenic, with local support and marshals positioned on the route.
The event includes a short remembrance service and observes a two minute silence before the race. Organisers make a donation from this race to the Poppy Appeal to support the Armed Forces community. Route maps and GPX files are available for download.
What is included for entrants: a bespoke commemorative medal inspired by Remembrance Sunday, trophies and prizes for leading runners, and a £100 cash prize for anyone who breaks the course record (male 51:52, female 58:01). The race has been awarded the Howard Williams Trophy in past years and is in its 24th edition.
Practical information: the race headquarters is at Stebbing Primary School, Stebbing, Dunmow, Essex, CM6 3SH. Parking is provided but is located about a ten minute walk from the school; parking on the main road through Stebbing is not permitted.
