Stars and Strides is the third annual running event held at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis on July 4, 2026. The event includes multiple course options and a youth distance around the lake.

Participants receive a performance tech tee available in unisex and women's sizes and a finisher medal. The event includes age group rankings and awards; awards can be mailed for a fee. There is a virtual race option with gear delivery by June 30. Bib and shirt pickup is available at Dick's Sporting Goods in Rosedale Mall from June 30 to July 3, or gear can be delivered to participants.
A community partner for the event is the Minneapolis Parks Foundation's People for Parks Fund. That fund supports under-supported projects and programs in Minneapolis parks and connects community-driven ideas with funding. Past funded activities include swimming lessons for youth in North Minneapolis, sailing opportunities for BIPOC youth on Bde Maka Ska, BWCA-like experiences for Latinx teens, and pollinator-friendly plantings throughout the city.
