Stars and Strides Minneapolis : 3rd Annual
Stars and Strides is a community running event held at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis on July 4, 2026. The event includes multiple distances and a kids run around the lake.
The event offers:

Participants receive a performance tech tee available in unisex and women's sizes and a finisher medal. The event records age group rankings and distributes awards; awards can be picked up or mailed for an additional fee. A virtual race option is available, and virtual participants receive their gear by June 30. Bib and shirt pickup is offered at Dick's Sporting Goods in Rosedale Mall from June 30 through July 3, with pickup hours listed as noon - 7pm. There is also a door step delivery option for race gear.

The Minneapolis Parks Foundation's People for Parks Fund is listed as the charity partner; the fund supports under-served park projects and community programs. Past funding examples include swimming lessons for youth in North Minneapolis, sailing opportunities for BIPOC youth on Bde Maka Ska, BWCA-like experiences for Latinx teens, and pollinator-friendly plantings throughout the city.
