Stars and Strides Minneapolis is the third annual running event at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis on July 4, 2026. The event features road distances for adults and a short kids course around the lake.

Entries include a performance tech tee offered in unisex and women's sizes and a finisher medal for all participants. The event records age group rankings and issues awards. Award pins are available and awards can be mailed for a fee.

Bib and shirt pick up is available at Dick's Sporting Goods in Rosedale Mall from June 30 to July 3, noon to 7pm. Doorstep delivery is offered as an alternative. A virtual race option is available and virtual race gear will be delivered by June 30.

The Minneapolis Parks Foundation is the event charity partner. Its People for Parks Fund supports under‑served projects and programs in Minneapolis parks and has funded youth swimming lessons, sailing opportunities for BIPOC youth on Bde Maka Ska, BWCA like experiences for Latinx teens, and pollinator friendly plantings throughout the city.
