Fourth of July Run at Lake Harriet
Stars and Strides Minneapolis 2026 takes place on July 4 at Lake Harriet. The event includes several distances and formats centered around the Lake Harriet Band Shell. Participants can choose between running and walking options, as well as a dedicated event for children.

The 10K Run consists of two laps around Lake Harriet. For the 0.40 Miles Kids Run, participation is open to children aged 10 and under. This youth event is not chip timed, and participants receive a shirt and a finisher medal.
Virtual options are available for those who prefer to complete the 5K or 10K distance independently at any time during the month of July. Race kits for virtual participants are shipped to residents within the United States.
