Stars and Strides Minneapolis
Stars and Strides Minneapolis is the fourth annual Independence Day running event held at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis on July 4, 2027. The event offers multiple distances and a dedicated kids run around the lake.

- 5K
- 10K
- Kids Run 0.40 miles
Participants receive a performance tech tee available in unisex and women's sizes and a finisher medal. The event includes age group rankings and awards, with information about award pickup or mailing provided by the series.
A virtual race option is available; virtual race gear is scheduled for delivery by June 30. In-person bib and shirt pickup is available at Dick's Sporting Goods in Rosedale Mall from June 29 to July 3, noon to 7pm.
The event lists the Minneapolis Parks Foundation People for Parks Fund as a charity partner. The fund supports under-supported projects and programs in Minneapolis parks and has supported activities such as youth swimming lessons, sailing opportunities for BIPOC youth, outdoor experiences for Latinx teens, and pollinator plantings.
