Starr Spangled 5K Race & Walk 33rd Annual
The Starr Spangled event takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at Starr Elementary School, 3230 Starr Avenue, Oregon, OH. It is offered as an in person 5K and a virtual 5K.

The in person course starts and finishes at the school on a flat road course laid out as an out and back. The course is accurately measured and there is one water station on course. Refreshments are provided at the finish area.
Registration and entry fees are specified for each option. In person registration opens February 24, 2026 and closes June 18, 2026; virtual registration opens February 24, 2026 and closes July 2, 2026. The published registration fee is $20.00. Participants who preregister by June 18 receive a choice of a triblend t shirt or a beach towel; a very limited number of items may be available after that cutoff on a first come first served basis. Early packet pick up and late registration are scheduled at Second Sole on Friday, July 3 from Noon to 5:30 pm.
Awards include overall male and female, overall Master 40 plus and Grand Master 50 plus gift certificates, age group awards at least three deep across multiple age divisions, and a $25 Second Sole gift certificate awarded to every 25th finisher.
