Standhope 100
Standhope 100 is a backcountry endurance race in the Pioneer Mountains of Idaho staged as a 100 mile route on 25-26 July 2026. The course totals more than 23,000 feet of climbing and runs across remote wilderness trails with long stretches between aid stations and areas that may lack cell service.
The event has no qualifying requirement for 2026, but the course includes steep climbs, technical descents, and extended time at altitude. Runners can expect twelve staffed aid stations, spot trackers for 100 mile entrants, and on-course support from staff, volunteers, and medical personnel. There are limited drop points for evacuation and transportation may be delayed from remote aid stations.
Required equipment listed for participants includes sun protection, water and calories, a windproof and waterproof jacket, a warm layer, a headlamp with spare batteries or a second headlamp, a course map or GPX file, and a personal cup. Drop bags must be labeled with name and bib number, are not accepted on race morning, and may need to be carried into aid stations by staff.
Finishers receive a custom finisher belt buckle and a technical shirt. The organizers provide pacer and crew guides, an interactive race map, and an aid station chart showing locations where drop bags are allowed and station cutoffs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
