Standalone 10k - Letchworth Garden City
The Standalone 10k is a community road race organised by North Herts Road Runners and scheduled for 4 October 2026. The event takes place at Standalone Farm, Wilbury Road, Letchworth Garden City SG6 4JN, and holds a UKA licence number 30401.
The course is a measured 10k on fully closed roads with chip timing and official finish times. Start and finish facilities are located at the farm and include food and drink stalls, information about the club charity GRIT Growing Resilience in Teens, live music on the course and at the farm, and easy access with plenty of parking.
Race-day services include a water station at 5 km and at the finish, professional marshalling by club members, on-course entertainment, and prize money across multiple categories including recognition for local unattached runners. There is an option for a race t-shirt made from recycled materials and an option to plant trees to reduce environmental impact. The club notes a partnership with the Heritage Foundation to reduce the event’s impact on the environment.
The nominated charity for 2026 is Garden House Hospice Care. Over several decades the event has raised funds for local charities while being organised by club volunteers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
