Course and Facilities

The race takes place on fully closed roads. The course is chip-timed and has a UKA licence. The start and finish are at Standalone Farm, where there are facilities including food and drink stalls. There is a water station at the 5 km point and at the finish line. Live music is provided on the course and at the farm. The event is marshalled by club members.

Participant Experience

The event describes itself as open to runners of all abilities. It attracts local competitive athletes but is positioned as a large community event for friends and family. A T-shirt option made from recycled materials is available.

Environmental and Community Focus

The organisers state a commitment to making the event environmentally friendly, encouraging participants to walk or cycle to the venue. An optional tree-planting scheme is mentioned. The race supports a nominated local charity; for 2025 this was GRIT (Growing Resilience in Teens), which works with young people on mental health. Over the years, the event has raised tens of thousands of pounds for local charities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
