Stainbank Spring Trail Run
The Stainbank Spring Trail Run takes place on 20 September 2026 in the Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The course starts and finishes at Coedmore Castle near the reserve entrance.
Two course options are offered. The 5 km route is described as relatively easy. The 12 km route is more technical and includes single-track sections. There will be water tables on the route; these will be cupless and no water sachets will be available. Participants are encouraged to carry their own hydration packs or a collapsible water cup. Cups will be available at the tables for use on site but may not be taken on the course. No litter, including gels or bottles, may be left on the trails.
The event raises funds for the Kenneth Stainbank Honorary Officers, a volunteer group that helps maintain the reserve and supports wildlife conservation and monitoring work. The listed sponsor is MetPac-SA, a metal packaging producer responsibility organisation focused on environmental sustainability and circular economy principles.
Entries include different prices by distance and there is a separate fee for on-the-day late entries. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
