About the race
The Stafford Race for HOPE is a multisport event held at Manahawkin Lake Park in Manahawkin, New Jersey on June 13, 2027. The event offers multiple race formats that start and finish at the park and include individual and relay options. Distances offered: - Triathlon: 1/4 mile swim, 12 mile bike, 5k run - Duathlon: 2 mile run, 12 mile bike, 5k run - Aquabike: 1/4 mile swim, 12 mile bike - Relay options mirror individual distances Registration opens on November 1, 2026 and closes December 30, 2026. Multisport participants must have an active USAT membership that does not expire before the conclusion of their event; annual members should bring their membership card.
Packet pickup requires athletes to pick up their own packet and to show photo ID; youth athletes without ID must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with ID. The swim takes place in a deep freshwater lake. The bike course is freshly paved and smooth where available; portions affected by bridge construction may be altered. The run is an out-and-back along the lake road through the Deer Lake Park neighborhood.
Split results will be posted on the race website and the event is scored by DQ Events. Awards are given by overall place, age group divisions, Clydesdale and Athena divisions, and relay categories; no duplicate awards will be issued.
