Events

The St. Urho 10K is part of a community running event that also includes a 5k run/walk and a separate 5k stroller division. It is the 45th annual event, organized by the UNC Cross Country Booster Club, with proceeds benefiting the UNC cross-country athletes.

Course

The 10k run starts near the ball fields in Menahga. The route runs around Stocking Lake and includes a trail section. Both the 5k and 10k events finish at the St. Urho statue.

Prizes

The event features a prize drawing for participants after the race. Prizes are donated by local businesses and include a Garmin watch as a grand prize, gift certificates to running shops, and other local items. Over $1200 worth of prizes were donated in a previous year.

Registration and Packet Pickup

Packet pickup and same-day registration are available at the Menahga High School commons on the south side of the school. This is offered on Friday evening and Saturday morning before the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
