St. Urho 5K/10K
The St. Urho 5K/10K is a community running event held on July 11, 2026, in Menahga, Minnesota, with proceeds benefiting the UNC Cross Country Booster Club and its athletes. The event includes multiple race options and local course features.
Distances offered:
- 5K run/walk starting in downtown Menahga and finishing at the St. Urho statue
- 10K run that begins by the ball fields, circles Stocking Lake including a trail component, and finishes at the St. Urho statue
- 5K stroller division for participants with a stroller
Prizes are donated by area businesses. The grand prize is a Garmin watch to be randomly drawn among participants who remain after the event. Other awards and donated items have included six $100 gift certificates to Endurunce Shop and TC Running Company, local gift certificates, and additional swag. More than $1,200 worth of prizes were donated in the previous year. In case of rain, prizes will be awarded in the Menahga High School commons.
Registration fees vary by age and timing. Early registration through July 4 offers reduced fees for youth and seniors. Race week fees are higher. Packet pickup and same day registration are held in the Menahga High School commons on the south side of the school during scheduled pickup periods.
