St Peter Chanel 5K
The St Peter Chanel 5K is an annual running and walking event held in Roswell, Georgia. Organized by the St. Peter Chanel Knights of Columbus Council 13217, the event has been held for over a decade. The in-person race takes place on the St Peter Chanel campus, specifically utilizing the Blessed Trinity High School lacrosse field.
Participants can choose between two primary participation options:
- 5K Run/Walk: A chip-timed course consisting of three circuits.
- 5K Virtual Run/Walk: An option to complete the distance at any location.
The event serves as a qualifying race for the Peachtree Road Race. Proceeds from the registration fees are used to benefit two specific organizations: Special Olympics Georgia and William's House. Special Olympics Georgia provides sports training and competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. William's House is a non-profit dedicated to assisting fathers in recovery as they work toward financial sustainability and self-sufficiency.
The course infrastructure includes designated areas for parking and packet pickup on-site. While the event is typically scheduled for April, participants should verify the current status as schedule adjustments may occur. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
