Event overview

Run The Caves is the third annual ultra and trail race presented by Body and Mind Adventures. It takes place at Warsaw Caves Conservation Area, located at 289 Caves Road, Warsaw, ON, in the Indian River valley, about 25 minutes outside Peterborough. A portion of registration fees will be donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association. The organizer describes the event as a green, cup-free race run in partnership with Otonabee Conservation Areas staff, volunteers, and sponsors.

Course, distances, and race services

The course uses mostly single-track trails with a soft forest floor, rocks and tree roots, some sandy beach sections, and short stretches of gravel road. Scenic lookouts provide open views and wooded sections described as large, old forest growth.

  • 25 km and 50 km Team/Duo events

The event is bib and chip timed. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female in each distance category, and hand-made race medals are offered to participants.
