Run The Caves 2026
Run The Caves is a trail and ultra event held at Warsaw Caves Conservation Area, 289 Caves Road, in the Indian River valley. The race is scheduled for October 4, 2026 and the site is about 25 minutes from Peterborough.
This is the 3rd annual event organized by Body and Mind Adventures. The committee aims to make the race accessible to all athletes and to raise awareness for the CMHA Canadian Mental Health Association. A portion of all registration fees will be donated to CMHA.
Terrain includes sweet single track, a soft forest floor, rocks and tree roots, some sandy beach, and a few gravel road sections. Most trails are shaded by large mature trees and some open sections provide valley views, described as a form of "forest bathing". The organizers work with Otonabee Conservation Areas staff and promote environmental initiatives. The event is cup free.

- 1 km Kids Run for ages 12 and under
- 5 km Walk/Run
- 10 km Walk/Run
- 15 km Virtual Run between October 1 and October 7
- 25 km Half Ultra
- 25 km Half Ultra team of 2
- 50 km Ultra
- 50 km Ultra team of 2
The event is bib and chip timed. Hand made race medals are provided to all participants and prizes are awarded to top male and female in each distance.
