Event overview
St. Paddy’s Day Run Tacoma takes place on March 14, 2026, in downtown Tacoma, with the start/finish at 815 Pacific Avenue. The event includes the following distances:
- Half marathon
- 10K
- 5K (3.1 miles)
The half marathon is certified WA24005RMB, the 10K is certified WA24006RMB, and the 5K is certified WA240007RMB. A portion of race proceeds goes to the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County. All finishers receive a finisher medal.
Course and race services
The half marathon is an out-and-back route that runs from downtown Tacoma along the waterfront, connects to the Ruston Way Path, continues toward the Point Ruston Waterwalk and Dune Peninsula Park, includes an ascent of the Wilson Way Bridge, then returns downtown. The 10K follows part of the same waterfront out-and-back route. The 5K starts downtown and covers 3.1 miles; runners and walkers are welcome.
Race registration for the half includes a tech shirt (order deadline to guarantee size noted on the race site) and a medal; a collective bib option and optional merchandise are available. Packet pickup is available at Co-Op, 4502 N Pearl St, with additional day-of pickup at the start line. Aid stations are provided roughly every 2 miles with water, electrolyte, basic first aid, Vaseline, and some energy gels; porta-potties are at selected stations. Medical personnel are on course and at the finish. Gear check is provided at the start line. The half marathon has a 3-hour course time limit.
