St. Paddy's Day Run Tacoma
St. Paddy’s Day Run Tacoma offers three race distances held in Tacoma, Washington: a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. The half marathon is an out-and-back course that starts in downtown Tacoma, follows the waterfront and the Ruston Way Path, passes Point Ruston Waterwalk and Dune Peninsula Park, climbs the Wilson Way Bridge, then returns along the waterfront to finish downtown. The 10K is an out-and-back that follows the same waterfront portion of the half marathon. The 5K covers 3.1 miles and welcomes runners and walkers.
Registration includes a commemorative finisher medal for all participants. Shirts are provided for the half marathon and short sleeve tees for the 10K and 5K; optional merchandise is available during registration. Team discounts apply for groups of 4, 10, and 15 with incremental price reductions as teams reach those sizes. Late registration is available during packet pickup and on race day; online registration closes shortly before race starts.
Course support on the half marathon includes aid stations approximately every two miles offering water, electrolyte, Vaseline, basic first aid, and some energy gels; selected aid stations have porta-potties. Medical personnel are present on the course and at the finish. There is a three hour time limit for the half marathon; participants remaining after the cutoff must move to sidewalks and obey pedestrian laws.
Packet pickup includes a bib with timing chip and a gear check bag. A portion of proceeds benefits the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County. All entry fees are non-refundable and transfers are not permitted; minors require a parent or guardian waiver. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
