St. Paddy’s Day Run Tacoma - March 14, 2026

The St. Paddy’s Day Run Tacoma offers three race distances in Tacoma, Washington: a half marathon, a 10K, and a 5K. The event starts and finishes in downtown Tacoma at 815 Pacific Avenue. All finishers receive a commemorative finisher medal. Timing is provided by Ready, Set…Time! and race photos are supplied by CJ Photography.

Course and support

The half marathon is an out-and-back course from downtown that follows the waterfront, connects to the Ruston Way Path, passes the Point Ruston WaterWalk and Tacoma’s Dune Peninsula Park, and includes a climb to the Wilson Way Bridge before returning downtown. The 10K follows part of the half marathon route along the waterfront. The 5K covers 3.1 miles and allows runners and walkers. Course certifications are listed for each distance.

Aid stations are placed approximately every 2 miles and provide water, electrolyte mix, Vaseline, basic first aid, and some energy gels. Select aid stations include fixed bathrooms or Honey Bucket facilities. Medical personnel are present on course and at the finish. The half marathon has a 3-hour time limit; participants remaining after the cutoff must move to sidewalks and obey pedestrian laws. Finish-line food and beverage items are provided.

Registration and logistics

Registration includes race medal, a long sleeve tech shirt for half marathon entrants, and t-shirts for 5K/10K entrants. Optional merchandise is available during registration while supplies last. Team discounts apply for teams of 4 ($5 off), 10 ($10 off), and 15 ($15 off). Entry fees are non-refundable; transfers and roll-overs are not permitted. Packet pickup is available prior to race day at Central Co-Op Tacoma and at race-day packet pickup locations. Gear check is provided at the start line. A portion of proceeds supports the Humane Society of Tacoma & Pierce County.
