St. Paddy's Day Run Tacoma - March 14, 2026
St. Paddy's Day Run Tacoma is a multi-distance road event held in downtown Tacoma with courses that run along the waterfront and Ruston Way. The event offers measured and certified courses and finishers receive commemorative medals.
- Half Marathon - out-and-back starting downtown along the waterfront and Ruston Way Path.
- 10K - out-and-back following the half marathon waterfront route.
- 5K - 3.1 miles; runners and walkers are welcome.
The half marathon course features a few rolling hills, a stretch on the Ruston Way Path toward Point Ruston Waterwalk and Tacoma's Dune Peninsula Park, and an ascent up Wilson Way Bridge before returning to the downtown finish. Aid stations are placed at roughly two-mile intervals and provide water, electrolyte drinks, basic first aid, Vaseline, and some energy gels; certain stations include porta-potties. Medical personnel are present on course and at the finish. A time limit of three hours applies to the half marathon; participants remaining on course after the cutoff must move to sidewalks and follow pedestrian rules.
Registration includes a finisher medal and race apparel provisions that differ by distance. Pre-race packet pickup is offered before race day at a local pickup location and additional packet pickup is available at the start area on race morning. Entry fees are non-refundable and transfers or rollovers to the next year are not available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
