St. John's Growing Our Community 5K
The St. John's Growing Our Community 5K is a neighborhood running and walking event located in Mifflinville, Pennsylvania. The race begins and ends at St. John's Lutheran Church, situated at the intersection of 5th and Race Streets. This event serves as a community gathering that supports a local cause, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the For The Cause Teen Center of Berwick.
Participants follow a specific course through the streets of Mifflinville, including 5th Street, West Street, Kline Road, John Street, and 4th Street. To ensure safety for all attendees, the use of headphones is not permitted during the race, and animals are not allowed on the course. Participation is limited to runners and walkers only.

Recognition is provided for the top overall male and female finishers. Additionally, awards are distributed across various age categories, including 15 & under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 & over. The first 50 registered individuals are guaranteed a commemorative T-shirt. Following the completion of the race, complementary refreshments are served to all participants at the church headquarters.
