Event Overview
The St. John Vianney Hog Jog, previously known as the SJV Run for the Pig, takes place at St. John Vianney Parish in Brookfield, Wisconsin. This community event features two distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K fun run
- 2 Mile Fitness Walk
Both events are professionally timed using chip timing technology. The course concludes with light refreshments provided for participants at the finish line.
Registration and Apparel
Participants who register by May 23 are eligible to receive a dry-wick t-shirt, which can be collected on the day of the event. A limited number of shirts may be available for those who register after this date. Registration is also available on-site via smartphone and a QR code system. Please note that cash payments are not accepted for race day registration.
Awards and Recognition
The event recognizes top performers in the 5K category with specific prizes and medals:
- Gift cards to Performance Running Outfitters are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers.
- Medals are presented to the top male and female finishers in several age groups, including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
Adult participants over the age of 18 receive two drink tickets for the concurrent parish festival, which features live music and a pig roast dinner. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
