About the race
The 54th Annual St. John Applefest Road Race in Fenton, Michigan is scheduled for September 19, 2026. The event is presented by ChoiceOne Bank and new race management for 2026 is Great Lakes Race Management.
Races use 100% paved road courses through streets of Fenton. Race services and participant benefits listed for timed and non-timed events include chip timing with live results, custom dri-fit race shirts (selectable economy options without shirt or medal), custom finisher medals for all races in 2026, free race photos, overall and age group awards, inflatable start and finish arches, professional sound systems, and mile markers. A double challenge option combines the 1-mile and 5K runs with a registration discount.
Packet pick-up is scheduled at St. John Catholic School and race day packet pick-up is at St. John Catholic Church, both in Fenton. A pancake breakfast and the Applefest festival follow the awards ceremony; race participants receive a breakfast discount. Award categories include overall awards for the top three male and female finishers and age group awards for the top male and female in each group, with overall winners excluded from age group awards.
