St James Rail Run
The St James Rail Run is an annual athletics event held in Saint James, Minnesota. The event takes place in conjunction with the local St. James Rail Road Days festival. Participants gather at the St. James Salutators Railroad Museum Park to take part in various distances. The event is held rain or shine and is open to participants of all ages.
The event features several different distances and categories to accommodate various preferences:
- Kids 1/2 mile
- 1 mile
- 4 mile run
- 4 mile walk
Participants have the option to take part in the "Run for Those That Can't" initiative. This program allows individuals to run in honor of someone they know who is unable to participate, or the organizers can provide a name of a person to run for. A dedicated display is available at the event for adding the names of loved ones.
Groups consist of five or more members are eligible for a registration discount. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each age group. Those who register before the late May deadline are guaranteed a race shirt available for pick-up on the day of the event.
