The St James Rail Run takes place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, in St. James, Minnesota. The event is held annually in conjunction with St. James Rail Road Days and is held rain or shine at St. James Salutators Railroad Museum Park. This edition is the 42nd running.

Registration and logistics
Registration opens January 1, 2026. Early pricing tiers described by the organizer: a January reduced rate of $15, an Early Bird rate of $20 from February 1 through May 25, and a $25 rate from May 26 through June 25. Registrations after May 26 will not have race shirts available for pickup on race day; shirts must be collected later. Teams of five or more receive a $5 discount per racer.
