St. Francis Xavier Falcon 5K Run/Walk
The St. Francis Xavier Falcon event takes place in La Grange Park on November 7, 2026, with a 5K road race and a series of related runs and activities centered at Richmond Avenue & Waiola Avenue and at St. Francis Xavier School.

Additional event options include a stroller division, a Family & Friends sponsorship level that provides recognition on signage along the 5K route, and a T-shirt only registration option. Registration opens August 16; most race registrations close October 24 with some options closing on other listed dates. Fees vary by event.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at St. Francis Xavier School (145 N. Waiola Ave.) at God's Garage, accessible through the Waiola entrance, with additional pickup at the race start on race day. Participants who registered by October 9 are eligible to receive the official race t-shirt; a free winter hat is provided by a sponsor at pickup.
Race day programming includes the Kids 0.5 mile fun run, a Junior Falcon 100-yard dash for 1st grade and younger (free), the 5K with strollers starting behind runners, and a post-race party in the school gym with donated food and drinks. Age-group and stroller division awards are announced after the race. Results for the 5K will be posted on the Chicago Athlete website.
Logistics note: all distances start and finish on Richmond between Spring and Waiola. Parking is available on neighborhood streets on both sides of Ogden Ave; no parking is permitted on the course or in the school lot. Indoor restrooms are available. There will be no race day gear check. The event also requests donations of cereal and oatmeal for the St. Francis Food Pantry, with collection at packet pickup, on site race day, and at the after party.
