St. Albert Triathlon 2027
The 38th annual St. Albert Triathlon takes place in St. Albert on August 8, 2027. The event is hosted at Grosvenor Outdoor Pool, a 25 metre outdoor pool, and uses nearby low-traffic roadways and trails in the Grandin and Lower Gardens neighbourhoods.
The bike course is a clearly marked 5.3 km loop so distances require multiple laps. The run courses are loops inside the Lower Gardens neighbourhood and the finish line is on the soccer field above Grosvenor Pool, where a photographer will be present.
Event distances include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 750 m swim, four 5.3 km bike loops, 5 km run
- Aqua-Bike: 750 m swim, four 5.3 km bike loops
- Try-a-Tri: 250 m swim, two 5.3 km bike loops, 2.5 km run
- Team Relay: 750 m swim, four 5.3 km bike loops, 5 km run
Race procedures and logistics: athletes rack bikes by race number; helmets must be fastened while in possession of the bike; no drafting; aero bars permitted; no earbuds. Timing chips must be worn on the left ankle and lost chips incur a replacement fee. Package pickup is available at Cranky’s Bike Shop and at the Garden Clubhouse near the pool; bring photo ID. There is no parking at the pool or Grandin Clubhouse and neighbourhood street parking is limited. A BBQ and beer garden will be on site; photos taken during the event may be used for promotional purposes. No refunds; rollovers may be allowed at the race director’s discretion.
