Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon
The Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon is an off-road multi-sport event held in and around Canberra. It comprises three sequential triathlons over a combined course of about 150 kilometres that links the city’s lakes, trails and parkland. The event is staged on a single day and follows mapped swim, mountain bike and run legs through Canberra Nature Park and adjacent areas.
The race can be contested solo or by relay teams of 3 up to 9 members. The standard sequence of legs is:
- Swim 1.5 km
- Mountain bike 35 km
- Run 18 km
- Swim 3.5 km
- Mountain bike 38 km
- Run 11 km
- Swim 1.2 km
- Mountain bike 23 km
- Run 13 km
Course features include three separate lake swims, multiple mountain bike sections that pass over and around ten named peaks, and run legs on parkland trails. Transition compounds and aid stations are provided with water, sports drink, food and basic bike repair supplies; some aid stations are water only. Swim caps are compulsory and wetsuits are recommended; wetsuit rules may be adjusted on race day. Road style bikes, gravel bikes and cyclo-cross bikes are not permitted and aero bars are forbidden.
Individual competitors must provide a helper; teams are limited in their vehicle support. Trophies and medals are awarded in specified solo and team categories, and full results including split times are published after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
