Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon
The Sri Chinmoy Triple-Triathlon is a single-day multi-sport event held in and around Canberra on Sunday 8 November 2026. The course links trails, parks and three separate lakes to form a continuous nine-leg sequence that explores much of the city and surrounding bushland.
The full course comprises the following legs in order: Swim 1.5 km, Mountain bike 35 km, Run 18 km, Swim 3.5 km, Mountain bike 38 km, Run 11 km, Swim 1.2 km, Mountain bike 23 km, Run 13 km. The route covers about 150 kilometres overall and includes climbs and descents over ten named peaks and many nature reserves within Canberra Nature Park.
The event offers individual entries and relay teams. Teams may range from three to nine members. Individuals must provide a helper; teams must supply their own assistance and may use up to two support vehicles. Helpers may assist with equipment and refreshments but may not pace for more than 30 seconds or physically propel an athlete forward.
Safety and logistics are emphasised. Swim caps are compulsory and wetsuits are strongly recommended and may be mandated depending on conditions; typical lake temperatures at this time of year are about 16 C to 20 C. Aid stations are provided at transitions and at points on bike and run legs offering water, sports drink, food, basic repairs and first aid. Road and path users share the public domain so athletes must give way at crossings and follow marshal instructions. Contingency plans exist for lake closures and other course changes.
