Sri Chinmoy Spring Half Marathon, 10 km, & Kids 2.5 km
The event takes place in North Hagley Park, Christchurch, centred around Victoria Lake. Races are held on a marked 2.5 km loop course with cones, and the registration area and finish line are on the north shore near the red tents. The park remains open to the public during the event.
Distances offered:
- 21.1 km Half Marathon (ages 15 and over)
- 10 km (ages 14 and over)
- Kids 2.5 km (ages 13 and under)
Parents or caregivers may accompany children in the 2.5 km race at no extra charge. One aid station will offer water and a Pure electrolyte drink. Race numbers are issued at registration and should be attached to the front of clothing or worn on a race belt so timekeepers can see them.
Entries are available online until midnight the Friday before the event; on-the-day entries are accepted in cash with a $5 late fee until 15 minutes before each race. Standard and youth/concession fees apply and vary by distance, with a small additional fee for on-the-day entry.
Medals are awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each event. Results and race photos are uploaded during the week after the event. A vegetarian post-race breakfast is provided to participants and is available to supporters for a purchase price. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
