Sri Chinmoy Half Marathon, 5 Miles & 2 Miles : Canberra
The Sri Chinmoy races at Lennox Gardens are held annually on a certified one mile loop that uses cycle path and road through gardens and lakeside precincts. The event programme includes three distances and is an established race with over 35 years of history. The next scheduled edition is on Monday 8 June 2026 (Monarch's Birthday Holiday).
Course features include electronic timing for every one mile lap, an aid station every mile, and an accurately measured, well marked loop that keeps leaders and followers on the same intimate circuit. Full category results are produced with split times for each mile and results are published online the same day. Course records since 2004 are recorded for each distance.
Entries are offered online with different fees for each distance and higher fees for on the day entry; online entry closes at 12 midnight on Saturday 6 June. Race number bib collection and on the day entries are available. Trophies or medals are provided for age group placegetters and there is a post race breakfast for all participants.
As the event takes place in winter in Canberra, conditions at the start are sometimes quite cold and additional clothing is commonly used.
