Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail Series
The Sri Chinmoy Canberra Trail Series is a five-race winter trail running series held at popular venues near Canberra. Each event offers three distance categories and uses local nature parks, ridges and established trail networks around the city.
Distances offered across the series:
- Short: 2 km to 3.6 km
- Middle: 5 km to 10.6 km
- Longer: 9.6 km to 21.1 km
The 2026 schedule lists five events with named courses and dates: Race 1 "Cooleman Clip" (26 April), Race 2 "Tidbinbilla Thriller" (10 May), Race 3 "Red Hill Ramble" (1 June, held on Reconciliation Day), Race 4 "Ainslie Amble" (28 June) and Race 5 "Aranda Meander" (19 July). Course descriptions and gpx files or maps are provided for most races, and some events include multiple loops or lap timing mats for intermediate splits.
Entry and event administration details are published for the series. Online entry is available for new registrations; existing series entrants use the registration edit link sent after their first series entry. Earlybird entries close two days before each race at 17:00 local time and later entries pay a higher fee. On-the-day entries require a smartphone to complete online registration and competitors with a permanent series bib are asked to bring it.
Venue notes include restrictions and facilities: dogs are not permitted in any series races; some starts have limited parking; Webbs Picnic Area at Tidbinbilla has no mobile coverage and no toilets. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
