Sri Chinmoy Albert Park Half Marathon, 10km and 5km Run

The Sri Chinmoy Albert Park Half Marathon takes place at Albert Park Lake in Melbourne, with the start and finish lines located at Palms Lawn. The race is held on a fast, flat 5 km closed trail circuit that is entirely traffic-free. Runners complete multiple laps of this scenic lakeside course depending on their chosen distance.

The event offers three distinct distances:

  • Half Marathon (21.1 km)
  • 10 km
  • 5 km

The course is accurately measured by Athletics Australia (AA) and features markers at every kilometer. Participant services include drink stations every 2.5 km stocked with water and electrolyte drinks. Timing is managed using electronic chips, and results are available live online. The half marathon distance has a mandatory cut-off time of three hours.

Participants can access first aid services provided by St Johns Ambulance, and toilet facilities are available at the start and finish area. Following the event, there is a pancake breakfast for all runners. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in age categories ranging from Under 15 to 80+ years, with results determined by net chip time.

Parking is available in the carpark adjacent to the Athletics Stadium off Aughtie Drive and along Albert Road Drive South. Race numbers are collected at the venue on the morning of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
