Square Lake Sprint Triathlon
The Square Lake Sprint is a USAT-certified sprint triathlon held at Square Lake Park in Stillwater, MN on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The course includes a lake swim, a hilly bike course, and a run on quiet roads. The swim uses a self-seeded time trial start. Professional race timing and photography are provided. The event offers a post-race barbecue and awards ceremony at Square Lake Park, weather permitting.
Race details and logistics
Race options include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.5 mile swim, 18.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Aqua: 0.5 mile swim, 18.5 mile bike, no run
- Relay teams are permitted for any race option.
Packet pick-up occurs the day before the race at Square Lake Park. Race packets include the race bib, timing chip, finisher medal, and event shirt if selected. Participants must wear the timing chip on the left ankle for triathlons. Aid stations will supply Hammer electrolytes. Parking is available with a $7 one-day pass. The event is open to participants as young as 10 years old when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Awards are given to overall male and female winners and the top three male and female athletes in each listed age group. Results are provided by Frontrunner USA.
