Square Lake Sprint - Stillwater, MN
Square Lake Sprint is a USAT certified sprint triathlon held at Square Lake Park in Stillwater, MN on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The course includes a lake swim described as crystal clear, a scenic hilly bike course, and a run on quiet roads. The swim uses a self seeded time trial start to space athletes in the water.
Race options include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.5 mile swim, 18.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Aqua: 0.5 mile swim and 18.5 mile bike, no run
- Relay teams allowed
Event logistics note that race packets include a race bib, timing chip, finisher medal, and optional event shirt. Athletes are instructed to wear the timing chip on the left ankle. Aid stations provide Hammer electrolytes. Parking at the park is available for a one day pass fee of $7. A professional photographer will be on site at no additional cost. The day concludes with a post race barbecue and awards ceremony at Square Lake Park, weather permitting.
Awards recognize top overall male and female finishers and the top three in each age group. Results are provided by Frontrunner USA. The event is open to kids age 10 and older when participating with a parent or guardian. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
