Square Lake Sprint
Square Lake Sprint is a USAT-certified sprint triathlon held at Square Lake Park in Stillwater, MN. The event features a lake swim, a hilly bike course, and a run on quiet roads. The swim uses a self seeded time trial start to space athletes in the water.
Race options include:
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.5 mile swim, 18.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Aqua: 0.5 mile swim, 18.5 mile bike, no run
- Relay teams allowed
Packet pick-up at Square Lake Park before the race provides race bibs, timing chips, finisher medals, and event shirts for those who selected them. Triathlon participants are required to wear their timing chip on the left ankle. Aid stations on course supply Hammer electrolytes. A professional photographer will be on site at no additional cost to participants.
The event offers a post race barbecue and an awards ceremony at the park. Awards recognize top overall male and female finishers and top age group performers, with age groups listed by decade and adjustments possible based on participation.
