Square Lake 70.3
Square Lake 70.3 is a USAT certified half distance triathlon held at Square Lake Park in Stillwater, MN. The event is presented as the final mid distance triathlon of the season and is set in Square Lake Park, which is noted for its clear lake waters and nearby Stillwater horse country.
Race options include a full half distance and an Aqua option. The event uses a time trial and self seeded swim start. The bike course is a scenic two loop route with bottle exchanges approximately every 13 miles. The run is an out and back course with shade and aid stations roughly every 1.5 miles. Run aid stations feature Hammer electrolytes and gels and also provide coke, oranges and bananas.
Full athlete support is provided, including Hammer Nutrition products, and professional race photography is offered at no additional cost. Packet pickup on race day provides a race bib, timing chip and event shirt if selected, plus a finisher medal and sample nutrition items. Athletes should wear the timing chip on the left ankle. Parking at the park requires a one day parking pass; the on site fee is listed as $7.
