Square Lake 70.3
Square Lake 70.3 is a USAT certified half distance triathlon held at Square Lake Park in Stillwater, MN. The event is the final mid distance triathlon of the season and takes place on the grounds of Square Lake Park.
Race options include:
- 70.3 1.2 mile swim, 57 mile bike, 13.1 mile run
- Aqua 1.2 mile swim, 57 mile bike, no run
- Relay teams accepted for any race option
The swim uses a self seeded time trial start. The bike is a scenic two loop course with bottle exchanges approximately every 13 miles. The run is a shaded out and back course with aid stations about every 1.5 miles offering Hammer electrolytes and gels plus Coke, oranges and bananas at all run stations.
Athlete support includes Hammer Nutrition products and on course nutrition. Packets issued on race morning at Square Lake Park include race bib, timing chip and event items such as shirts and a finisher medal; athletes should wear the timing chip on the left ankle. Professional race photography is provided at no additional cost. Results are provided by Frontrunner.
Other details: there is a post race barbecue, parking is $7 for a 1 day parking pass, and a 10 percent military discount is available via paper registration with a copy of military ID.
