Square Lake 70.3 is a half-distance triathlon held in Square Lake Park in Stillwater, Minnesota. The event features an open-water swim, a 57 mile bike course on quiet, hilly roads, and a shaded out and back run through the park. The race is USAT certified and offers full athlete support including Hammer Nutrition products.
Individual and relay team registration options are available. The event uses a self-seeded time trial swim start and provides aid stations on the run about every 1.5 miles stocked with Hammer electrolytes and gels, plus Coke, oranges, and bananas. Professional race photography is provided at no additional cost to participants. Parking is available for a one-day pass fee.
Race awards include top overall male and female and top three in each age group, with age group ribbons attached to finisher medals. Results are provided by Frontrunner USA. Event information notes that all ages are welcome, timing chips must be worn on the left ankle for triathlons, and a military discount is available via paper registration.
