Sprout 5K
The Sprout 5K is the 14th annual 5K and fun run held on October 25, 2026 at Clyde's Willow Creek Farm at Broadlands in Ashburn, Virginia. The event benefits Sprout Therapeutic Riding & Education Center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Aldie that provides adaptive equine-assisted programming to support physical, cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Event options include:
- 5K race for adults.
- 1K fun run.
Proceeds fund participant subsidies, need-based scholarships, horse care, facility operations, and specialized adaptive equipment. Sprout serves more than 185 individuals each week and is supported by over 100 volunteers. All registered participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and complimentary food and beverage from Clyde's.
Registration opens July 13 and closes October 23, 2026. Fees listed for early registration are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 1K; a student 5K rate of $20 is available for those 21 and under. Prices increase after October 23. Registration by October 2 guarantees a race shirt, which must be picked up at packet pick-up or on race day.
Packet pick-up is at Clyde's at Broadlands on Saturday, October 24 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and on race morning starting at 7:30 am. Awards include medals for children 12 and under, overall male and female winners, top finishers by age group, and a fastest team award based on combined times of the top five runners.
