About the race
SPRING TRAIL RUN at Warwick Wine Estate is a trail running event on the slopes of Klapmutskop near Stellenbosch and Klapmuts in the Western Cape. The event uses vineyard tracks, jeep tracks and singletrack that are specially opened for the event, with varied terrain, Winelands views and several climbs.
Distances offered:
- 11 km Trail Run
- 6.25 km Fun run or walk for adults
- 6.25 km Under-18 short route
Entries are part of the Sportsmans Warehouse Trail Run Series. Pre-entry fees listed for the event are R175 for the 6.25 km, R220 for the 11 km and R75 for under-18 entries (pre-entry only); pre-entries close on Friday 25 September. Late entries are accepted on event day for an additional fee. Amarider Trail Tag timing is available for hire for R25.
Included for participants are a finishers medal, a refreshment station on both routes with Powerade, fruit and Coke, recovery massages from Ultimate Performance Therapy, and prizes for the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Event-day activities include a coffee station, product samples, shoe trials, prizegiving and lucky draws. Warwick’s courtyard, food options and a kids’ play area are available on site.
