Spring Forward for Student Success 5K Run/Walk
The Spring Forward for Student Success 5K Run/Walk is presented by the Piedmont Technical College Foundation and takes place in May 2026 in Greenwood, SC. The event is held on the Piedmont Technical College Lex Walters Campus at 620 N. Emerald Rd. Proceeds support the Piedmont Technical College Foundation for student scholarships, book and supply assistance, and other student support.

The 5K follows a course around the perimeter of the Lex Walters Campus and consists of two laps; walkers stop after one lap. The course is USATF certified. Registration fees listed for the events include $30 for the 5K and $25 for the 1.5 mile walk. Late registration will be available on race day via mobile device.
Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt; sizes are limited and shirts are ordered based on sizes given during registration. T-shirts cannot be exchanged. Awards for the 5K include cash prizes for overall male and female finishers and for masters (age 40 and up): 1st place $100, 2nd place $50, 3rd place $25. Top male and female in each age category will receive a special prize. Age group categories range from 0-9 through 70+. A race map and additional race materials are available as attached PDFs.
