Spring Day Festival Fun Run - Brackenfell
The Spring Day Festival at Bracken Nature Reserve is a community event featuring a 5 km fun run with separate adult and kids categories. Entry fees are R50 for adults and R20 for children under 13. Walkers and runners are welcome and all finishers receive medals; refreshments will be available.
Additional activities include guided flower walks focused on the reserve’s flora and fauna, rock painting for children in the Environmental Centre, a lucky draw with prize opportunities, cannon firing with information on the historical use of signal cannons, and food and craft stalls. Benches are provided across the reserve to support picnics during the event.
Guided walks are limited to 30 people per walk. Ticket sales are limited on the day. The event is presented by Friends of Bracken Nature Reserve in partnership with Duprelen Accountants and Pam Golding Properties Brackenfell.
Venue details: Bracken Nature Reserve, 2 Reservoir St, Brackenfell South, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa. The main access route approaches the reserve from the N1 via Okovango Road and Old Paarl Road, with Reservoir Street leading to the reserve; the old entrance is closed so follow Reservoir Street to the pump station area.
