Event overview
The SPRING - Clock Change Challenge is scheduled for 29 March 2026 at Calne Community Campus, White Horse Way, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 0SP. The event is in its 16th year and includes measured road races and a supporting fun run. Entry fees range from £7 to £19. The organiser is Wiltshire Council.
Distances and entry
- 10 km road race : accurately measured, out-and-back along quiet country lanes.
- 5 km road race : accurately measured, out-and-back along quiet country lanes.
- 1.5 km fun run : loop around traffic-free sports fields.
Age limits are specified for each event: the 10 km requires entrants aged 15 or over, the 5 km requires entrants aged 11 or over, and the fun run is for under-17s. The 10 km field is limited to 400 runners and the 5 km to 200 runners. Runners in the 10 km and 5 km receive a bespoke event medal; 1.5 km participants receive a finisher's medal.
Facilities and rules
The venue offers free parking, changing, shower and toilet facilities, lockers, and hot food and drinks. Electronic chip timing is provided by LPS Events. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, prams, pushchairs, and dogs. Portable music players are not permitted and may lead to disqualification.
Prizes
Category prizes are awarded: top three male and female overall for the 5 km and 1.5 km; for the 10 km there are top three male and female overall prizes plus first places in age categories (MJ, M40, M50, M60, M70, FJ, F35, F45, F55, F65) and first male and female teams.
