SPRING - Clock Change Challenge
The event takes place at Calne Community Campus, White Horse Way, Calne, Wiltshire SN11 0SP. It comprises accurately measured road races plus a supporting junior fun run on nearby sports fields.
Distances offered:
- 10 km road race
- 5 km road race
- 1.5 km fun run
The 10 km race is for runners aged 15 and over. The 5 km race is for runners aged 11 and over. The 1.5 km fun run is available for under 16-year-olds. The 10 km and 5 km courses use out-and-back routes along quiet country lanes; the fun run loops around traffic-free sports fields. The course is described as flat and capable of producing personal best performances.
Finishers of the 10 km and 5 km events receive bespoke event medals. Participants in the 1.5 km fun run receive a finisher medal. Category prizes are awarded: the 5 km and 1.5 km races award the top three male and female finishers overall; the 10 km awards the top three male and female finishers overall plus first places in MJ, M40, M50, M60, M70, FJ, F35, F45, F55 and F65 and first male and female teams (top three accumulated positions from the same club).
The event provides free parking, changing, shower and toilet facilities, lockers, hot food and drinks, and electronic chip timing provided by LPS Events. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, prams, pushchairs and dogs, and portable music players are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
