Event overview

The Spring Clock Change Challenge is scheduled for 29 March 2026 at Calne Community Campus, White Horse Way, Calne, Wiltshire. The event is organised by Wiltshire Council and is in its 16th year. Electronic chip timing is used for all races, and free parking, changing, shower and toilet facilities, lockers, and hot food and drinks are available on site.

Races and competition

  • 10 km - accurately measured road race, out-and-back on quiet country lanes.
  • 5 km - accurately measured road race, out-and-back on quiet country lanes.
  • 1.5 km - fun run, looping around traffic-free sports fields.

Age limits: entrants must be 15 or over for the 10 km, 11 or over for the 5 km, and under 17 for the 1.5 km fun run. The race limit is 400 for the 10 km and 200 for the 5 km. Portable music players are not permitted. The course is unsuitable for wheelchairs, prams, pushchairs, and dogs.

Category prizes are awarded for the top overall finishers in each distance, with additional age and team categories for the 10 km. Finishers in the 10 km and 5 km receive bespoke event medals; 1.5 km participants receive a finisher's medal. Course records: Men 10 km 30:27, Women 10 km 36:42, Men 5 km 15:10, Women 5 km 18:05.
