Spider Mountain Trail Race
The Spider Mountain Trail Race is a night-time trail event at Spider Mountain Bike Park in Burnet, Texas (200 Greenwood Hills Trail). The event takes place over the weekend of May 1–2, 2027 and uses the park terrain and the quad chair lift for course access.
The program includes timed endurance events and set-distance races. Timed formats include 6 hour, 9 hour, 12 hour and a 12 hour relay. Distance options include the shorter trail runs and ruck divisions.
Race results show both gun time and chip time. Awards and official rankings are based on gun time. Mass starts are used per distance, although the start line is kept open for participants who prefer a later entry.
The youth mile is for children 12 and under, covers about one mile, and includes a finisher medal for each young runner. A parent is required to ride the chairlift with their child to the youth start; volunteers will guide children on the course so parents do not need to run the downhill mile. T shirts are not included by default; a shirt order deadline is April 9 and shirts are available for purchase during registration. Participants who register after the shirt deadline receive alternate race swag.
