Sphinx AC Summer 5
Sphinx AC Summer 5 is an annual 5 mile road race held in and around Coventry’s War Memorial Park. It is organised by Sphinx AC and forms part of the Warwickshire Road Race League. Race headquarters are located alongside the cafe / tennis pavilion area in the park.
The course is largely traffic free. The event includes a race memento for finishers and free cake at the finish. Cash prizes are offered for the first three finishers and for winners in age categories. A mobile medical crew is on standby during the event.
The organiser publishes full race day details by email seven days before the event; entrants are advised to check junk mail if they do not receive these details. The event is shown as full and a waiting list is available. Entrants who cannot attend can transfer their place through the online entry system; the person taking a transferred entry receives a transfer code to complete their sign up.
Club athletes from across Coventry, Warwickshire and the greater Midlands often take part. Unattached runners and beginners are accepted at Sphinx AC events. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
