Birmingham Running Festival

The Birmingham Running Festival takes place in the surroundings of Sutton Park in the Royal Town of Sutton Coldfield. This event serves as a conclusion to the annual running season and supports the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, an organization providing helicopter-led emergency medical services and pre-hospital care.

Participants can choose from several distances:

  • Half Marathon: A course with a total elevation gain of 306m.
  • 10k: A distance featuring 144m of elevation gain.
  • 5k: A shorter route with 72m of elevation gain.
  • Junior Race: A dedicated event for younger participants with 14m of elevation gain.

The course terrain consists of a mix of road and gravel surfaces. Marshals are stationed along the route to guide runners toward the finish line. The event features an event village that includes various food and drink options.

Each entry includes chip-timed results, free professional race photos, and a unique themed medal. Post-race goodies are provided to all finishers at the end of their effort. While a race shirt is not included in the standard entry fee to reduce costs and waste, participants have the option to purchase a branded technical T-shirt separately. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
