Spencer County Octoberfest 5K

The Spencer County Octoberfest 5K takes place in Taylorsville, Kentucky, with the course centered on Main Street. This evening event through the historic downtown area is a community-focused walk and run that supports the Spencer County Special Olympics. Participants can experience a route that features a DJ and a festive atmosphere in a public square setting.

The event offers two distinct opportunities for participation:

Octoberfest 5K (3.1 miles)
Kids Fun Run (Ages 9 and under)

Registration for the 3.1 mile distance includes a race t-shirt for those who register by the designated September deadline. Packet pickup is available on the Sunday prior to the event at the Public Square on East Main Street, as well as on the day of the race.

Awards are presented to the top two overall male and female finishers. Additionally, the event recognizes the top male and female participants across several age categories, starting from ages 10 to 14 and extending to 75 and over. While the Kids Fun Run is available for the youngest participants, those individuals are not included in the 5K specific award categories.
