Spekbos Josty Trail Run Challenge
The event takes place on 21 November 2026 at Lategansvlei Soccer Stadium in Oudtshoorn, Western Cape. It is organised by Jakhals Events and serves as a fundraiser for the Lategansvlei community. The event notes a typical age range of 12 and older.
Routes use local trail sections that are open only on race day. The course terrain varies and reflects the Karoo atmosphere. The event is presented as family-friendly while offering longer route options for more experienced trail runners. Food and drink will be available and card payment is suggested.
Distances include:
- 21 km Trail Run - for experienced trail runners
- 14 km Trail Run - a demanding shorter trail option
- 5 km Fun Walk / Run - family and beginner option
Online entries close on 20 November 2026; late entries are available on race morning. Entry fees are R200 for the 21 km, R150 for the 14 km and R50 for the 5 km fun run/walk. Prize money is awarded separately for male and female categories: for the 21 km R1,500 (1st), R1,000 (2nd) and R500 (3rd); for the 14 km R750 (1st), R550 (2nd) and R350 (3rd).
