Speedy PD: Race for Parkinson's Disease
Speedy PD is an annual fundraising event held at Tuttle Creek State Park, River Pond Road, Manhattan, KS on August 29, 2026. The event benefits the Meadowlark Parkinson's Program, which provides services in the Flint Hills region to improve quality of life for people affected by Parkinson’s disease, including persons with PD, caregivers, therapists, and nurses. Donations support education, outreach, scholarships for medical purposes, medical care, and the development of a regional Parkinson's resource center.
The in-person courses are on all-paved roads and have been USATF certified since 2013. The 5K course is described as very flat to the finish. The 10K course is described as very flat and shaded, with scenic views of the lake. Volunteers and supporters line the course. Routes are stroller friendly.
Packet pick up is available the day before at the Holiday Inn at the Campus in Manhattan, with additional packet pick up the morning of the event at Race Headquarters. The event schedule includes a half mile memorial walk/run, followed by the 5K and 10K races, with awards presented after the races.
