Spectrum of Color 5K Fun Run
The Spectrum of Color 5K Fun Run is a sensory friendly, inclusive, untimed event held on June 20, 2026 at Heritage Port, 1055 Water St, Wheeling, WV. The event includes color powder stations, a foam station, and bubble stations along a waterfront-and-trail route that avoids roadwork and construction.
A 21st anniversary celebration will take place before the run and will feature inflatables, balloon animals, face painting, music, cake, and other family-friendly activities. All participants who complete the full course receive an award.
Registration opens February 24. Online pre-registration continues past May but shirts and certain pre-registration items are guaranteed only for participants registered by May 31. Participants who pre-register by the early deadline will receive a shirt, sunglasses, and an Autism Ambassador sticker. Online pre-registration remains available until June 19, and day-of registration is accepted; day-of registrants should note that shirts will not be available. The registration fee is $35.00.
The route begins at the waterfront and then cuts onto nearby trails to reduce interaction with construction areas. The event benefits an autism scholarship and includes community-focused, sensory-considerate features for participants and families. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
