Spectrum of Color 5K Fun Run
The event on June 20, 2026 is a sensory friendly, inclusive, untimed fun run at Heritage Port, 1055 Water St, Wheeling, WV 26003. The main distance is 5K. The course begins at the waterfront and then moves onto a trail to avoid roadwork and construction.
The run includes several color stations that throw bright powder, a foam station, and bubble stations. There is an on-site 21st year birthday celebration prior to the run with inflatables, balloon animals, face painting, music, cake, and other family activities. Packet pick-up and day-of registration are available on race day.
Registration opens February 24, 2026 and stays open online until June 19, 2026. Participants who pre-register by June 1 will receive a shirt, sunglasses, and an Autism Ambassador sticker; shirts are not guaranteed after the May 31 deadline. Registration is accepted on race day, but shirts will not be available for those who register that day. The registration fee listed is $35.00.
The event benefits an autism scholarship. Awards are given to anyone who completes the entire course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
