Southwold Half Marathon
The Southwold Half Marathon is a seaside road and off-road event that runs around Southwold and neighbouring Walberswick. The course is mainly one loop with a 2 km section around Southwold Harbour and Ferry Road repeated twice. The route is multi-terrain, combining road, adopted road and hard wearing tracks; some sections may be uneven and narrow. The event follows UK Athletics guidelines but is not affiliated with UK Athletics.
Entry information states a fee of £41 plus a booking fee. All entries include chip timing and a bespoke race medal. An official race T-shirt can be purchased as an add-on for £17; entrants choose size when entering and shirts are available to collect on race day. T-shirt measurements are provided in centimetres for both men and women.
Charity entry terms require a minimum of £150 fundraising for EPIC Norfolk’s Dementia Campaign and the provision of one volunteer marshal. The entry fee is refunded once the fundraising target is met. If a charity entrant fails to meet the fundraising or volunteer requirements their place will be removed and charity entries cannot be deferred or transferred.
All entrants must be at least 17 years old. The event has a cut-off time of 3 hours 30 minutes. Official race car parking is based at Old Hall Cafe & Walks with a free shuttle bus between the car park and the start and finish; there are no additional car park fees at the official car park.
