Southwold Half Marathon
The Southwold Half Marathon takes place on 28 February 2027 in Southwold. The event is a Half Marathon around Southwold and neighbouring Walberswick, with the start and finish on Southwold promenade. The course is a one-loop route except for a 2 km section around Southwold Harbour and Ferry Road that is run twice.
The route is multi-terrain, combining road, adopted road and hard wearing tracks. It follows UK Athletics guidelines but is not affiliated with UK Athletics. Some sections may be uneven and narrow, so participants should be vigilant while running. The race has a cut off time of 3 hours 30 minutes. All entrants must be at least 17 years old.
Standard entries include chip timing and a bespoke race medal. Race entry is listed as £41 plus a booking fee. An official race T shirt is available as an add on for £17 with specific men’s and women’s size measurements provided by the organiser.
Charity entries require a minimum of £150 fundraising for EPIC Norfolk’s Dementia Campaign and the provision of one volunteer marshal. Charity entries cannot be deferred to another event or transferred to another runner; the entry fee is refunded once the fundraising target is met and entries will be removed if requirements are not met.
Official race car parking is at Old Hall Cafe & Walks with a free shuttle bus to and from the start and finish and no additional parking fees. General entries are non refundable and cannot be deferred, though transfers to another participant are allowed until midnight on 12 February 2027. If the event is postponed or cancelled, entries will be handled according to the organiser’s published options for postponement, transfer, virtual completion, deferral or refund.
