Southwold Half Marathon
The Southwold Half Marathon is a coastal race around Southwold and neighbouring Walberswick. The course starts and finishes on Southwold promenade and is largely a one-loop route, with a 2 km section at Southwold Harbour and Ferry Road completed twice.
The route is multi-terrain, made up of road, adopted road and hard wearing tracks. It is not affiliated with UK Athletics but will follow their guidelines. Some sections may be uneven or narrow. The race has a cut off time of 3 hours 30 minutes.
Standard entry costs £41 plus a booking fee. All entries include chip timing and a bespoke race medal. An official race T-shirt can be added for £17; the tee is fully sublimated 140gsm. T-shirt sizing (width armpit to armpit x length) is given as follows: Men’s XS 41cm x 67cm, S 46cm x 70cm, M 51cm x 73cm, L 56cm x 76.5cm, XL 61cm x 79cm, 2XL 66cm x 81.5cm. Women’s XS 39cm x 64cm, S 41cm x 64cm, M 43cm x 67cm, L 47cm x 69cm, XL 52cm x 71cm, 2XL 56cm x 72cm. All entrants must be at least 17 years old.
Charity entries require a minimum of £150 fundraising for EPIC Norfolk’s Dementia Campaign and provision of one volunteer marshal. The entry fee will be refunded once the fundraising target is reached. If the fundraising or volunteer requirement is not met, the charity entry will be removed and the runner cannot take part on the day. Charity entries cannot be deferred or transferred.
Official race car parking is based at Old Hall Cafe & Walks. A free shuttle bus will run to and from the start and finish for racegoers and spectators, and there will be no additional car parking fees at the official race car park.
General entry terms state entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred, though transfers to another runner are available until midnight on 12/02/2027. If the event is postponed, entries will be moved to the new date or may be transferred or completed virtually. If the event is cancelled and not postponed, entries will be deferred to next year or a refund can be requested before a deadline set by the organiser. Entrants will receive event updates from the organiser and may opt out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
