Event overview

The Half Marathon takes place in Southwold and its neighbouring village Walberswick. This is the event's second year. The race starts and finishes on Southwold promenade. Entrants receive chip timing and a bespoke race medal. Finish-line refreshments include donuts, cookies and water. The event has a cut-off time of 3 hours and 30 minutes. All entrants must be at least 17 years old.

Course and logistics

The route is multi-terrain, combining road, adopted road and hard-wearing tracks. Some parts of the route may be uneven and narrow in places. The event is not affiliated with UK Athletics but will follow UK Athletics guidelines. Official race car parking is at Old Hall Cafe & Walks, with a free shuttle bus to and from the start and finish. There are no additional car parking fees at the official race car park. Race numbers can be posted for £1.20 extra or collected on the morning. T-shirts are available as an add-on for £15.

Entry, charity places and transfers

Standard race entry is £40 plus a booking fee and includes timing and a medal. Charity places require a minimum of £150 fundraising for EPIC Norfolk and the provision of one volunteer. Charity entrants will have their entry fee refunded once £150 has been raised. Charity entries cannot be deferred or transferred. General entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred; transfers to another runner are available until 15/02/2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
