Event overview

The Southwold Half Marathon takes place in Southwold on 01/03/2026. The event is based at a seaside location and starts and finishes on Southwold promenade. This is the second year of the event. All standard entries include chip timing and a race medal.

Entry and race information

  • Distance: Half Marathon
    Race entry is listed at £40 plus a booking fee. T-shirts are available as an add-on for £15. Race numbers can be posted for £1.20 or collected on the morning of the race. All entrants must be at least 17 years old. The race has a cut-off time of 3 hours 30 minutes.

Charity places have specific terms:

  • Fundraising minimum of £150 for EPIC Norfolk’s Dementia Campaign.
  • One volunteer must be provided to marshal the event.
  • The entry fee will be refunded once the £150 fundraising target is reached.
  • If the fundraising or volunteer requirement is not met, the charity entry will be removed and the runner cannot take part.
  • Charity entries cannot be deferred to another event or transferred to another runner.

General entries are non-refundable. Transfers to another runner are allowed until 15/02/2026, but this does not apply to charity entries.

Course and logistics

The route is multi-terrain, using road, adopted road and hard wearing tracks. Parts of the route may be uneven and narrow. The race is not affiliated with UK Athletics but will follow their guidelines. Official car parking is at Old Hall Cafe & Walks, with a free shuttle to the start/finish and no additional parking fees. Water, a medal and light food items will be provided at the finish. There is an option to donate an extra £5 to EPIC Norfolk for dementia support. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
