Southwold Half Marathon
The Southwold Half Marathon is a half marathon held on 28 February 2027 in Southwold, with parts of the route passing through neighbouring Walberswick. The race starts and finishes on Southwold promenade and follows a mostly one-loop course, with a 2 km section around Southwold Harbour and Ferry Road run twice.
The route is multi-terrain, combining road, adopted road and hard-wearing tracks. Some sections may be uneven and narrow; the event is not affiliated with UK Athletics but will follow their guidelines. The race has a cut-off time of 3 hours 30 minutes.
Standard race entry is listed as £41 plus a booking fee; all entries include chip-timing and a bespoke race medal. A charity entry option requires a minimum of £150 fundraising for EPIC Norfolk’s Dementia Campaign and the provision of one volunteer marshal; the entry fee is refunded once the fundraising target is met. Charity entries cannot be deferred or transferred and will be removed if the fundraising or volunteer requirement is not met. General entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred, but transfers to another runner are permitted until midnight on 12 February 2027.
An official race T-shirt is available as an add-on for £17. Size measurements (width x length in cm) are provided for men's XS–2XL and women's XS–2XL: Men's XS 41x67 to 2XL 66x81.5; Women's XS 39x64 to 2XL 56x72. All entrants must be at least 17 years old.
Official race car parking will be at Old Hall Cafe & Walks with a free shuttle bus to and from the start/finish and no additional parking fees at that car park. If the race is postponed entries will be moved to the new date or may be transferred or completed virtually; if the race is cancelled entrants will be deferred to next year or may request a refund under the event cancellation policies.
