Southwold Half Marathon
The Southwold Half Marathon, organised by EPIC Norfolk, is a coastal half marathon around Southwold and neighbouring Walberswick with the start and finish on Southwold promenade. The next scheduled race is Sunday 28th February 2027; general entries are sold out while charity places remain available.
The route is multi terrain, combining road, adopted road and hard wearing tracks. It is a one loop course except for about 2 km around Southwold Harbour and Ferry Road, which is completed twice. The event is not affiliated with UK Athletics but will follow their guidelines. Some sections may be uneven and narrow. A cut off time of 3 hours 30 minutes applies.
Standard race entry is £41 plus a booking fee and includes chip timing and a bespoke race medal. Charity places require a minimum of £150 fundraising for EPIC Norfolk and the provision of one volunteer; the entry fee is refunded once the fundraising target is met. Charity entries cannot be deferred or transferred and will be removed if conditions are not met.
Official race T shirts are available as a £17 add on with sizes from XS to 2XL and specified width and length dimensions provided at entry; shirts are available for collection on race day. Race numbers can be posted for an extra £2 or collected on the morning. Entrants must be 17 years or older. Official car parking is based at Old Hall Cafe & Walks with a free shuttle to the start and finish and no additional parking fees. Transfers are possible up to two weeks before race day via the Total Race Timing account. Entries are non refundable and cannot be deferred.
