Both races are road events held along the Southport seafront promenade. The course is described as flat and fast, with long stretches of smooth promenade paths and sea views across the Irish Sea. The route is fully signed and wide enough for racing and overtaking.
Entries include electronic timing, custom finisher medals, aid stations, course support, online results, free photos and video, and music to create atmosphere along the route. The event lists an early entry price for the Half Marathon at £39 and a UKA member price of £37; the 10K early entry price is £32 and the UKA member price is £30. Parking is available at the Adventure Coast Southport Main Car Park.
The organiser notes a cut off requirement for the Half Marathon: runners must reach the 11 mile marker within 2.5 hours of the start to allow road closures to be lifted as scheduled.
