Southport Half Marathon and 10k
The event takes place in Southport in January 2027 and includes a half marathon and a 10k on measured, UKA licensed courses. The route runs around the Promenade, under the pier, around Marine Lake and Kings Gardens, and includes a crossing of the Marine Lake Bridge. The route is flat and looped; half marathon competitors complete two laps according to the published lap structure.
The event lists Title Sponsor XMiles and venue partners at Adventure Coast Southport. The venue is the Valhalla Venue on the Esplanade, Southport PR8 1RX.
Entry details state minimum ages and fees:
- Half Marathon (minimum age 17 years on race day)
- 10k (minimum age 15 years on race day)
Included with entry are a custom finisher’s medal, feed stations on the route, electronic timing, drinks at the finish and event photographs available to download from the official photographer’s website. Entries close when the event is full or on the Friday before race day.
A strict cut-off applies for road closures: half marathon runners must reach the 11 mile marker within 2.5 hours to allow roads to re-open as scheduled. Course maps and competitor guidance notes are provided by the organiser. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
