Southern Sundown 4 Miler
The Southern Sundown 4 Miler takes place in Lenoir, North Carolina, on August 15, 2026. The event is hosted by Liquid Roots Brewing Project and includes a post-race gathering at the host site. Registration opens April 1, 2026. The 4 Miler registration closes June 27, 2026; the youth events close August 14, 2026. Published registration fees are $35 for the 4 Miler, $5 for the Kids Fun Run in advance, and $15 for the Whippersnapper Sprint. Registrants aged 21 and over for the 4 Miler receive a full pour of a Liquid Roots brew after the race. Registering by August 3 guarantees event shirt size.
The Kids Fun Run is a non-timed half mile for participants 12 and under; each participant receives a medal and a custom bib. The Whippersnapper Sprint is a competitive one-mile race for runners 12 and under; medals and trophies for fastest youth finishers are provided.
Awards for the 4 Miler include top overall male and female prizes, age-group medals, specialty awards, and cash for course record setters. The Team Challenge allows teams of 5 to 10 with at least one male and one female. Team scoring uses the top five finishers; teams can receive 30 second reductions to their average time for meeting specific roster criteria related to experience and age.
