Event
The Southern Fried 50/50 is a trail ultramarathon held in Columbus, Georgia, in mid-August. The event offers three distance options:
- 50 miles
- 50K
- 25K
Field size is capped at 100 runners. Cutoff times are 10 hours for the 50K and 14 hours for the 50-mile distance. Packet pickup and parking are staged at Midland Elementary School, a short walk from the start area.
Course and logistics
The start area is at the Fall Line Trace, Psalmond Road trail head. The course follows the Fall Line Trace and connects to the Dragonfly Trail and the Columbus and Phenix City RiverWalk. The route passes sights along the Chattahoochee River, Oxbow Meadows, Columbus State University, and the National Infantry Museum, and includes sections near urban whitewater features.
